A catalyst for reinvention – a fluid but coherent field of buildings – each separate but all logically connected in a continually changing ensemble – the volumes encompassing the new retail centre in the seaside town of Jesolo open up around a central space like the petals of a flower.

Located on the north-face hillside in Barvikha where pine and birch trees grow up to 20 metres high, a villa with fluid geometries emerges from the landscape. Its programme is divided into two components: one merging with the hillside, another floating above the ground with dynamic views overlooking the forest.

扎哈·哈迪德（Zaha Hadid）1950年出生于巴格达，在黎巴嫩就读过数学系，1972年进入伦敦的建筑联盟学院AA学习建筑学，1977年毕业获得伦敦建筑联盟(AA，Architectural Association)硕士学位。此后加入大都会建筑事务所，与雷姆·库哈斯和埃利亚·增西利斯一道执教于AA建筑学院，后来在AA成立了自己的工作室，直到1987年。哈迪德至今一直从事学术研究，曾在哥伦比亚大学和哈佛大学任访问教授，在世界各地教授硕士研究生班和各种讲座。
扎哈·哈迪德（Zaha Hadid）于1983年入选香港The Peak Club的设计竞标方案，获得广泛赞誉。此后，她在柏林Kufurstendamm大街（1986年）、杜塞尔多夫的艺术和媒体中心（1989年）和卡迪夫湾歌剧院（Cardiff Bay Opera House）（1994年）的竞图中均获得一等奖。
扎哈·哈迪德（Zaha Hadid）在从事理论和学术研究的同时，在1979年自己开业，为伦敦伊顿广场（Eaton Place）设计了一幢公寓。该作品于1982年获建筑设计金牌奖。其他项目还包括为伦敦Bitar设计家具和室内装饰（1985年），在日本设计了几幢大厦，如东京的两个项目（1998）和大阪的Folly（1990年）。1990年，哈迪德还为格洛宁的视频艺术展设计展馆，1992年在纽约古金汉博物馆设计了"伟大的乌托邦"展览。1988年-1989年，哈迪德受托设计莱茵河畔维尔城的维特拉消防站，建成后为汉堡、波尔多和科隆的港口服务。
扎哈·哈迪德（Zaha Hadid）于1983年开始在AA建筑学院展出大型绘画回顾展，此后其绘画作品一直在世界各地展出。大型展出地点有纽约古金汉博物馆（1978年）、东京GA画廊（1985年）、纽约现代艺术博物馆（1988年）、哈佛大学设计研究生院（1994年）和纽约中央火车站候车室（1995年）。哈迪德的作品还被众多机构如纽约现代艺术博物馆和法兰克福德意志建筑博物馆作为永久收藏品收藏。
